I finally got me new laptop! I don’t say so to brag because that means the podcast was recorded using new equipment. Let me know if you experience any quality issues, but I think this was the best quality so far in an episode. Well, except for last part, we got some lag then.

Old school console games never really disappointed me much as it was my brother who had the systems and games so I just played whatever our parents would buy him. However, PC gaming held many a disappointment. One was a LOTR RPG that came out in 1990 by Interplay. It came on 10 5 1/4″ disks with a manual that rivaled “War and Peace” for length. I couldn’t wait to get home and play. Loaded it up, spent an hour trying to figure the damn thing out and threw it in the trash.
Nowaday, I have to be vary careful as importing from the U.S. is quite expensive so it’s a very real issue. The most recent and most disappointing in recent memory, and I think Adrian will agree with me on this is FFXII. I played through the whole game hoping a story would appear. Plus the side-quests were simply “kill the monster” which requires you to spend 2 hours walking there and you weren’t guaranteed you would get anything good since items were randomly generated. What a great idea for a linear game!

Yeah, Seanbaby has always been entertaining. Oh, and yeah… I have heard nothing but “meh” reviews of FFXII. Too bad too, generally the FF games (other than the MMO) have been fun even when they were a bit annoying.

I agree with the ff12 comment. I have already ranted about this game so much that my soul is chapped…so let me say a simple whispered “Fuck you” to FF12.
here is a disappointment I remember from back in ze day. This game was soooo hyped by nintendo power and Konami at the time that I thought it could NOT POSSIBLY be bad but my god….THE ADVENTURES OF BAYOU bILLY was the very defintion of disappointment at the time. This game was supposed to be AWESOME but in fact it was so god damn hard that it made you want to eat your own eyes. It was simply impossible. The difficulty level was through the roof and good ‘ol billy must have been fully tanked on moonshine and swamp vittles because nothing you did to the controller seemed to have any effect on actually CONTROLLING him. I actually think I had more sucess manipulating his hillbilly ass by SHOUTING at the top of my lungs with my mouth an inch from the fucking tv screen then using the control pad…
